An exotic fish spread is perhaps a given at a restaurant that pegs itself to the beach theme. But The Beach is not entirely about the food. The branding has been anchored on the restaurant’s setting and tries hard to bring the sea around you. It works in parts, especially when you are out in a group and unwinding over a drink. The Beach is not quite the place that strikes you as a joint for quiet, romantic dinners. You can forget the Goan bit in the menu, which has virtually everything from across traditional Indian spreads. The Beach is highly recommended, almost entirely for its young, vibrant setting. Meal for two: Rs 1,000
