Reasonable for a 5-star
I found their tagline very funny -- the only hotel with an airport attached -- to underline the fact the hotel is adjacent to the airport. The hotel had just been renovated when I visited last year and the newness was still there. I usually hate carpeting in hotel rooms since the dirt is not visible, so this was a pleasant surprise, since my room had wooden flooring. I was informed by the bell boy that a lot of facilities had been added to meet the expectations of international travellers. They have various kinds of rooms. I stayed in a Superior Room which cost me Rs. 7500 plus tax. Club rooms and above, the guests have access to some exclusive facilities like an executive lounge. Manohar is a 5-star hotel, but the rates are quite reasonable considering the star status and the facilities. It is designed for a business traveller and offers a lot of freebies in the club room+ categories like use of the boardroom, unlimited tea/coffee etc. I could only visit their aptly-named coffee shop, Cafe Take-off for breakfast, a bright and cheery place. There is a pool and a fitness centre -- the 2-level pool has a jacuzzi and is a popular place for families to chill out.
Positives
Good for a business traveller, Jacuzzi pool
Negatives
Staff could speak better English -- poor communication skills
Worth the price?
Yes
